2023 Summer Job Descriptions:
The Blake School seeks to hire energetic and enthusiastic group
leaders, counselors, and assistants for its summer day camp and
enrichment programs. Summer at Blake serves over 200 weekly
participants ages 4-14; in grades Pre-K through 8 and will take place
on the Blake Campus in Hopkins, MN from June 20 through August 4, M-F
8:30AM-3:30PM, with no programming on 6/19, 7/3 or 7/4. Candidates
must be available for one week of training prior to the start of the
seven-week day camp program. Summer staff training will be held the
week of June 12-16. Summer staff report to the Summer Program Director
to ensure a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for all participants.
Summer Programs Assistant and the Lead Activity & Team
Coordinators may be contracted for additional pre-program hours during
the academic year as determined by the Summer Programs Director.

Summer Day Camp Group Leaders
Group leaders are responsible for the daily implementation of all
enrichment, arts, technology, athletic, recreational, and field trip
activities. Group leaders will work closely with Coordinators and
Support Staff to create and ensure a safe, fun, and nurturing
environment for all participants. Experience in teaching children ages
4-14 or day/recreational camp experience is necessary. Candidates with
experience in aquatics, physical education, team building,
adventuring, visual and performing arts and technology instruction are
desired. Adult to Youth Ratio is 1:10 or less in all programs. Day
Camp Group Leaders are scheduled M-F, 8-4PM.
